EnSense™ Silk TEC

Esters are a key component to personal care and cosmetic formulations. EnSense™ Silk TEC (triethyl citrate) is a multi-tasking ingredient that improves sensory and overall performance. It provides a variety of benefits such as improved barrier function of the skin, increased moisturization, reduced soaping effect, improved slip and glide, softening, and smoothing. In formulation EnSesne™ Silk TEC can also function as a solubilizer and pigment dispersing agent. Esters in general are smoother feeling, less oily, and lighter than their fatty alcohol and fatty acid counterparts. This ingredient is derived primarily from natural sources.
